#1 Place for Cheap Eats in New York City!

I have a special announcement that I want to make... I’m in Love!!!!

There it is, I said it and I’m proud, nothing to hide here. I’m in Love with food. Little dates in the park, a late night restaurant rendezvous; mornings in bed ...and the late nights OMG!!!!!! Me and food; we go at it! And it is oh soooo gooooood!!!

Live, visit or drive through New York City, this place is a world wind of loveliness and the food does not disappoint. Keep reading if you are passing through Manhattan, at some point. It doesn't matter if it is spring, summer, fall or winter! Just jump right in and be in LOVE!

One of my favorite things about NYC is “cheap eats!”

NYC has some of the highest rated restaurants (Eleven Madison Park & Restaurant Daniel) and chefs in the world. Dinner for two can cost as much as $750 and up. Of course I am biased towards my fellow Swedes Marcus Samuelsson (of Red Rooster Harlem) and Emma Bengtson (of Akvavit). They have mastered food as artists, both in their unique ways.

What’s equally great with NYC eating is that you can eat amazing food for under $10! One of my guilty pleasures is that I just love street food! Before heading out of the city I go out of my way to stop at one of my favorite street-food places for a grab-and-go dinner at Vanessa's Dumpling House in Chinatown. If you haven’t been yet you are missing out. My go-to here are the Korean Pancakes!! There is something special about these, you are literally just going to have to try for yourself! I always grab a few extra for leftovers - no joke! That’s how good these Korean Pancakes are. Vegetarian, Chicken, Beef, Pork... they are all perfect.

If you have a favorite place you want me to visit, an amazing artist I have to check out, or a designer just about to burst, let me know.

I’m Helena of Sweden
